The Chiado is a neighborhood in the historic center of Lisbon.
The 1755 Lisbon earthquake greatly affected the area, destroying houses, churches and convents.
Within the Chiado, we visited the Church of Sao Roque.
The day was spent as a typical tourist…visiting all the Rick Steves suggestions. The gallery shows highlights..so much that I did not photograph. Way too tired. By the end of the day, my thoughts we on sleep. Of course we have to climb the Mt Everest of staircases. You need to visit Portugal.
