We have wounded warriors that need some time. No Camino today. It’s raining, slick—-not worth the risk with a 1200+ climb. We have found our Camino Angel, a physical therapist staying in the apartment with us—-she has volunteered to help and has been working on Pat’s feet. Things are improving.
Reflection on the situation makes us very aware that the Camino is not only found on the trail. Sometimes it’s found in the place you stay … in shared caring moments, patience, elevation, laughter, frustration to pause.
Today’s “light” does not include the yellow arrows that have been guiding us forward.
It is the decision to Stay put. Heal.
The trail will be there for us tomorrow.

So, our photos are confined to the towns.

The Camino also gave us pleasure again. For the third time we by chance crossed paths in Caldas de Reis with new friends Michael and Sandra from Sydney, whom we first met on our departure from Porto on May 4th. They are always such a pleasure to encounter and share our stories. We made a commitment to meet again in Santiago de Compostela.
