A day of rest certainly helped! So, now we move on. I don’t think any of us got the rest we needed last night. Our steps seem a little slower, our conversation a little less. We are focused on completion of this part of the journey—into Porrino.
The Camino took us through the woods and increased our elevation around 950 ft. A very pleasant day! Very few Pilgrims on the trail. We walked through Tui, on to Redondela and finally arriving in Porrino 7 hours later. We heard the sound of bagpipes as we made our way through the woods and came upon a woman and her very friendly dog. She was playing bagpipes and dancing a jig——what a welcomed stop on the way!
