Vila Nova do Cerveira to Tui Spain (9.3 mi)
My goodness, it seems so fast and yet it seems so long. Total miles today 12.6. Our day started at 9:00am. We are all very tired. Tomorrow is a free day to relax and recover.
It was a quiet, peaceful nature-filled walk. Beautiful. We had a song bird symphony as posted in the photo. It was so delightful. We followed the river—off the Camino for a bit. Very few Pilgrims, very few bikes, no traffic. Peace…with all of the noises that God intended. I thought I heard a couple of fish jump out of the water—or maybe it was my imagination.
Today we say goodbye to Portugal. It was a lovely experience. It exceeded all of my expectations. The people are so kind, the food was fabulous, the country is beautiful. I would love to come back on a different kind of journey. We walked across the bridge into Spain. So, pretty…over the river. And here we are—like that—in Spain.
We walked through a couple of very small towns. We ate lunch, then walked across the bridge into Spain.
Photos were limited…we are weary travelers today, very much ready for a break. Our body is begging for it.
